All Offices Of FEATHER SAFETY RAZOR Now Registered
As ISO 14001 Compliant
As of December 10, 1999, FEATHER SAFETY RAZOR Co., Ltd. acquired certification of compliance with ISO 14001, a set of international standards for environmental management systems. This certification applies to all offices for design, manufacturing and sales of cutting instruments and related items: our Osaka Head Office and Tokyo Branch; our Sales Offices in Nagoya, Sapporo and Fukuoka; our Seki and Mino Sites; and our R&D Center.
At FEATHER SAFETY RAZOR, we have been pursuing a long-standing commitment to complying with international standards for management systems. Before the IS0 9000 series of standards was established in March 1987, the product line manufactured at our Mino Site had been granted voluntary quality safety certificate on Manufacturer Registration Scheme by the U.K.'s DH (Department of Health), which had launched a quality registration system in February 1987. The adoption of EC directive in 1993 made it mandatory to affix the CE mark on all medical products sold in the EU market. Therefore, following an audit in December 1996 by TÜV Rheinland, an ISO certification body in Germany, our head office was granted ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certification.
Moreover, in February 1998, the same certification body TÜV Rheinland approved our Seki Site for ISO 9001 registration for the design, manufacturing and sales of cutting instruments and related items we handled.
Current Chairman Masahisa Kishida, in explaining our environmental management policy at his inauguration as company president in 1992, advocated "ecological responsibility on a global scale." Since then, all employees of FEATHER SAFETY RAZOR have been demonstrating a solid commitment to this cause. Clearly, having this commitment in place served to enhance our relatively smooth acquisition of ISO 14001 certification.
We aim to contribute to the community by operating our company in harmony with the environment according to the basic policies instituted through the process of ISO 14001 certification.
