„A close shave. Men may want to think twice next time they pick up that shaving brush. Luxury brushes are traditionally made from badger hair, but according to a study to be published in March in Biological Conservation, some companies are using the wrong badgers.
Forensic DNA typing of eight brushes manufactured in five European countries showed that half contained hair from Eurasian badgers, Meles meles, which are protected in most European countries. Three of the four rogue brushes were made in the Netherlands, where any possession or dealing in products made from Eurasian badgers is illegal.„
